Welcome! We're glad you found usa! The Gilbert Visual Art League strives to increase artistic awareness and appreciation in the community. GVAL offers area artists fellowship and support through monthly meetings, which include professional person artist demonstrations. Throughout the twelvemonth a variety of sales venues are available exclusively to our GVAL Membership.
GVAL hosts monthly membership meetings September through June on the showtime Th of the month at 6:30 pm in the Neely room at HD Due south, Home of the Gilbert Historical Museum. Our meetings more often than not include: critique of members works in progress, GVAL announcements, a guest presenter, and announcement of the Creative person of the Calendar month.

We are thrilled to have Ryan T. Schmidt as our presenter. Many of his sculptures are regarded more as monuments and grace public waterfronts, corporate headquarters and private estates worldwide. Ryan works in stainless steel and volition exist explaining his process and showing works in progress

The election procedure for GVAL Board members will take place at our monthly meeting on May fifth. Ballots were emailed on April 15th. Members may submit the ballot online or fill in a paper ballot at the May meeting. The new board will be announced at the June Social.

Each calendar month the membership votes for Artist of the Calendar month from the submitted entries. Y'all tin enter by filling out the AOTM form Here by the 15th of each month. A ballot is sent to each member for voting and announced at the next fellow member meeting. In June, the AOTM winners are voted on for the honor of beingness named Artist of the Year. House of Refuge is a nonprofit community which includes 88 two-bedchamber homes that are rented to families in demand. Most residents are women with children leaving abusive situations. Each year, Gilbert Visual Art League extends an invitation to all qualified high school juniors and seniors whoeither nourish a school within the boundaries of Gilbert or are residents of Gilbert and attend any schoolhouse in the expanse (public, private or home schoolhouse) to apply for the annual Student Fine Fine art Laurels. The educatee chosen to receive the accolade is highlighted at the GVAL Annual Juried Fine Fine art Evidence and Auction and given a $250 accolade. Small Works Fund Raiser
Give thanks y'all to all of the artists who have participated in our minor works fund raisers. Both GVAL and HD S do good, with a portion going dorsum to the artist. The small work sales continue to be a success and our side by side opportunity will be announced before long!
